Develop and conduct industrial security training in accordance with the NISPOM.
Coordinate security backssments, tests, and/or reviews to ensure proper protection and/or corrective measures are taken when an incident or vulnerability has been discovered; coordinate contamination and data spillage reconciliation as required. Initiate background investigation paperwork (including fingerprinting) via e-QIP and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA)
Defense Information for Security System (DISS) database and execute any customer centric clearance tracking mechanisms as required. In addition, the FSO will track Common Access Cards and security badges.
Provide required security indoctrination briefings, debriefings, and annual security refresher briefings to members assigned to the facility (CAGE/SMO Code). The FSO provides additional training as needed or requested by management. Perform document control functions to include in/out processing of classified/sensitive materials and prepare transmittal documents and classified mailings; perform visitor control functions to include processing of incoming and outgoing visit requests. Assist
the assigned Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) on NISPOM Chapter 8 requirements as required.
Maintenance and updates to DOD and DOE Facility clearance databases. Experience in the Do D community. Associate degree or SHRM-CP certification required. Five years of experience in Human Resources Management or in a related area. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point. Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information. A high degree of concentration and multi-tasking is required.
