Surgery unit. It takes care of all adult orthopedic patients including total joint replacements and repair of fractured hip patients. Our experienced nursing staff provides excellent Relationship Based Care and is devoted to the orthopedic population. We are Joint Commission
Certified for total knee and total hip replacements. This unit includes 32 private patients' rooms each with a private bathroom and shower. Our patient population consists mainly of Total Knee and Total Hip Replacements, hip fracture patients, and general orthopedic patients.
We also accommodate general medicine patients. SUMMARY: Provides quality patient centered care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. Consistently integrates concepts of relationship based care into practice. Serves as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit. Assumes accountability for nursing
care of designated patients. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies.

Responsibilities This position involves a range of tasks related to data management and quantitative analysis of large data obtained from payers such as Medicare and Medicaid. Specifically, the position involves providing independent and collaborative statistical support including: Working with administrative claims datasets using medical codes, such as International Classification of Diseases, 9th and 10th Revision (l CD9 and l CD10) as well as Current Procedural terminology (CPT) to identify the appropriate cohort, healthcare
encounters, and other variables of interest. Developing and refining research strategies, Identifying code or data issues and finding solutions.
Performing a wide range of statistical analyses (e. g. hierarchical linear models, survival analysis, propensity score matching). Writing, testing, and implementing programs using SAS to clean, manage, merge, and analyze large (>1 terabyte) administrative claims datasets.. Summarizing and presenting results in written, tabular, and visual formats for policy briefs, manuscripts, and presentations Skills You Have The most important skills for this position are: Strong statistical knowledge using Statistical Analysis System (SAS) to implement data management of large longitudinal claims datasets.
Candidates should also have an aptitude for statistical methods. Required Qualifications Statistician Senior Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, biostatistics, computer science, information, or related fields with at least 3 years of professional experience Minimum 3 years of SAS programming.
