This is a FT RN position working a Day/Nights shift in the PACU, Surgical Services department at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests
and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse. Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data. Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program. Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient. Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers. Qualifications You will demonstrate an understanding of patient needs, ensuring that each patient feels informed and understood, as well as heard. Minimum requirements: This position requires current enrollment in an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN program) and must provide proof of completion of the first year/fundamentals of nursing, (or equivalent).
