The Billingslea Recovery Residence is a long term residential facility that provides a supportive alcohol and drug free environment in a community setting.
This service will enhance alternately funded detoxification services and are approximately six to twelve months in duration. This service is provided to adult males, age 21 to 65, with substance abuse issues residing in Bibb, Jones, Monroe, and Twiggs counties. An integral part of the recovery residence
is community living and acceptance of responsibility for day to day living with other consumers must attend the Substance Abuse Wellness and Recovery Program at River Edge Behavioral Health Center, which includes 6 months of aftercare.
Continuation of a structured program affords the client the opportunity to reinforce skills, disclose problems encountered during transition into a society free from mood altering substances. Location/Schedule: Billingslea Residential Treatment Facility; Part-time hours 12pm-8pm 2 to 4 days per week or less/Sometimes Weekends & Some Holidays Duties & Responsibilities: Provides basic oversight/care for consumers in a residential/24-hour supervised community-based
program. Implements assigned portions of individualized treatment plans.
Observes and documents consumer behavior and conducts regular room checks throughout the shift. Observes self-administration of consumers medication and observes/collects urine drug screen samples and alcohol screens. Minimum Training & Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Any combination of training and experience that would enable the applicant to have acquired the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities in a direct patient care capacity.
