He or she is required to document testing irregularities/performance issues with products. Duties and Responsibilities Read and understand wiring diagram, schematics, and blueprints Assemble and mount burners to boilers for testing Pipe oil lines, gas trains, feed water systems and steam headers to boilers Perform mounting and reading of test instruments, recording readings and test data with knowledge of normal parameters.
Maintain well organized written reports and project records in a manner that the results can be analyzed and used by others Maintain a neat, clean and functional work area at all times Ensure compliance with all safety rules and standards Assist other Fire Test Lab technicians with any lab, service and R & D functions as required Other duties as assigned Skills/Qualifications/Requirements Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years electrical panel wiring, wiring diagram/blueprint and/or schematic experience.
HVAC or related experience is a must. High School Diploma/GED. Trade or technical school education is a plus Proven mechanical abilities Basic computer knowledge Ability to read and understand
wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints Working knowledge of power and manual hand tools such as drills, wrenches, etc Good oral and written communications skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Great customer service skills Travel is part of the job Ability to work overtime as needed Essential Physical Requirements While performing the responsibilities of the Fire Test Lab Technician's job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
