Lab Studies Performs a wide array of open and endovascular procedures with emphasis on complex revisional surgery, limb salvage, carotid endarterectomy, aortic aneurysm repair, and AV (arteriovenous) access.
Provides care of the Veterans' medical needs by performing examinations, surgical consultation, and developing treatment and follow-up plans. Provides ongoing patient and family education throughout the course of treatment. Assists in teaching residents and fellows Preferred Experience: Board-Certified in both Vascular and General Surgery. Excellent teaching abilities as demonstrated by teaching awards and documented teaching activities during training or in practice.
Robust academic abilities as demonstrated by recent publications within the field of vascular surgery Experience working in VA either during training or in practice. Experience with systems improvement and quality assurance as demonstrated by committee involvement or publications. Work Schedule: Part-time, Permanent. 25 hours per pay period. Work schedule to be determined by service line. Compensation and Benefits: Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, and regular salary increases. Paid-Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid-time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME).
