entry-level employee will assist in performing support functions at all recreation facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to: Responsible for assisting in the coordination and implementation of all recreation programs.

Leading Level I and Level II Sports Staff, Program Volunteers, and Sports Officials. Responsible for setting up and leading post-season events. Such as organizing and holding an awards ceremony, retrieval of equipment, inventory of all equipment, and directing to the proper storage facility. May prepare information and practice plans for coaches, as well as, recruiting and training coaches. Performs any other related

duties as required or assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience: Must have a minimum of 12 months of experience and understanding of parks programs/events or education in a related field. Communication Skills: Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from participants, coaches, and referees about programs. Ability to respond to participants and direct them on program/event information as needed. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence through

forms and email. Computer Skills Ability to enter information, create reports, and locate information in a database.

Enter digital photographs and manipulate them to create flyers and promotional material. Critical Thinking Skills: Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few known variables in situations of a routine nature. Initiative Supervision: Under immediate supervision, performs general assignments of work, with periodic checks of performance by supervisor. However, will assign duties to Level I/Level II Sports Staff and evaluate among completion.

Planning: Limited responsibility with regard to specific assignments in planning time, method, manner, and/or sequence of performance of own work operations. Decision Making: Performs work operations that permit infrequent opportunity for decision-making of minor importance and which would only affect the operating efficiency of the individual involved to a slight degree. Use of machines, equipment, and/or computers: Ability to operate equipment including, but not limited to: computer, printer, and scanner Working Conditions: Outside the working environment, wherein there are sometimes disagreeable working conditions, including hot weather.
