NATURE AND SCOPE: Individual will assist department management in the planning and scheduling with coordination of planned shutdown work. Individual will work in partnership with the stockroom parts buyer to monitor delivery dates of parts and equipment to ensure timely delivery for scheduled jobs.
Individual will provide pertinent communication with maintenance department personnel regarding the status of parts and equipment ordered, staged materials, and job costing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prioritize, schedule, and coordinate daily maintenance activities in assigned area. Research, plan, and prioritize work requests. Order necessary
repairs materials for approved work requests. Prepare purchase requisitions and expedite, as needed, delivery of products and services. Provide estimated time and costs for planning purposes.
Provide a safe working environment by assuring compliance with all applicable codes and laws. Provide interface between maintenance workers, operation personnel, and outside resources. Assist in development of PM’s, predictive maintenance, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Provide training on CMMS systems. Perform other assigned duties as directed by Maintenance Supervisor. AUTHORITY: Plan and prioritize work requests based on shutdown schedules. EXTENDED TRAINING: Support the MCE/Lean process.
Flexibility and improvement of jobs skills are essential. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Mechanical experience is a must.

The supervisor is responsible to keep the crew informed of progress on resolving issues that affect them. Participate in the planning and scheduling efforts to develop a weekly schedule. The Supervisor works with the PS to understand scope of work and impact to production. The Supervisor must understand the technical, engineering, and quality requirements of the production processes and the equipment used in those processes. He / she must be sufficiently capable, so crew members have confidence in the Supervisor's judgment on the day-to-day technical matters.
The Supervisor emphasizes the use of predictive and preventative maintenance technologies to understand the status of key plant equipment and proactively plans repairs that result in minimizing costs and improving equipment life. Expected to sustain the 6S initiatives within the maintenance shops Run small to mid-sized facility and plant equipment related capital projects as needed.
