One of its facilities is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician with mechanical aptitude and experience to be responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and installing all machinery in the plant at a plant in Fort Smith, AR that is part of the Consumer Products Division.
Job Functions: Strong electrical skills. Must be able to do the following: Read and understand electrical prints, American and European standard Troubleshoot electrical equipment to the component level Repair electrical circuits, soldering will be required Must also be able to cross reference electrical components (drives, fuses, motors, sensors,
photo eyes, prox switches, limit switches, ect. ) between brands for replacement of discontinued equipment Understand PLC ladder logic Programming abilities are a plus Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code Bearing specs and installation Knowledge of pumps Knowledge of mechanical drive trains Mechanical timing and adjustments Read mechanical prints Good mechanical skills including the following: Must be able to read parts manuals and create parts list Understanding of hydraulic systems Understanding of pneumatic systems Understanding of air compressors and air dryers Responsible for some predictive maintenance duties (infrared, oil analysis, vibration analysis).
Preventative
maintenance, perform PM’s on equipment. Work with outside contractors.
Strong computer skills. Knowledge of CMMS systems, SAP experience is a plus. Requirements: Education - H. S. Education or equivalent preferred. Computer literate. Technical certifications, associate degrees, and bachelor degrees are a plus. Experience - Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Reasoning Ability – problem solving skills and deductive reasoning skills are essential for the position. Ability to interpret a variety of information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to lift 40 pounds at a time, climb ladders and stairs if needed, stand for long periods of time. Experience with Bobst cutters, Marquip sheeters, KBA presses, and HVAC a plus. The Sign On Bonus will be paid in 2 installments. The first installment will be at 90 days (3 months) from the date of hire for $500. The second installment will be at 180 days (6 months) from date of hire for $500.
