background investigation. Incomplete, inaccurate and/or failure to report information will cause the applicant rejection from consideration. b. Applicant must take and pass a pre-employment drug test administered by the City of Edinburg at the City's expense.

c. Achieve TCEQ Class I Wastewater Collection License within (1) first year of employment. d. Achieve TCEQ Class II Wastewater Collection License within (3) three years of employment. e. Achieve TCEQ Class III Wastewater Collection License within (5) five years of employment. f. Achieve Class " B" CDL from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record with a tank endorsement within (1) first year

of employment. Required Education: High school diploma, G.

E. D. or equivalency. Education Preference: Community college, vocational business, technical, or correspondence school certificates are likely sources. Educational Substitute: Not Applicable Required Work Experience: No experience required. Experience Preference: One (1) year of related work experience Supervisory Experience Requirement: Not Applicable Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities a. Requires a working knowledge of sewer line maintenance and repair. b. Work requires regular interaction involving exchange and receipt of information. c. Work requires a comprehensive, practical knowledge of a technical field with use of analytical judgment and decision-making abilities appropriate to the work environment of the organization.

d. Intermediate computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment; includes Excel, Word, Publisher, database management, and record keeping. e. Knowledge of landscaping principles and proper sludge/waste disposal. Equipment Materials: General office and safety equipment/materials to include but not limited to the following: · Hand Tools/Power Tools · Two-Way Radio · City Vehicle · Lawn Maintenance Equipment · Gloves/Safety Glasses/Boots Work Conditions: Frequent exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.

Majority of work performed outside or with exposure to risk. Physical Demands: The job has some significant hazards and the physical demands are heavy. Duties involve continuous bending, lifting, digging, carrying, and walking, and/or using force equal to lifting 50-100 pounds. Mental Demands: While performing the duties of this class, the incumbent is regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; use math and mathematical reasoning; perform detailed work, multiple deadlines and concurrent tasks; work with constant interruptions; and interact with staff and the public.
