Our Team The Georgia Pacific Mill located in Crossett, AR provides a safe, modern community at the

What You Will Do Ensure excellence in the areas of process safety management. Create and lead an environment where the team achieves zero incidents in Environmental, Health and Safety. Lead the implementation of complete asset strategies and facilitate zone ownership strategy and operator basic care execution by transferring ownership to operators and technicians to operate, maintain and improve assets. Lead the effort to identify, investigate, recommend, and implement equipment improvements, new
systems and process changes that will improve productivity, yield, quality and/or reduce cost and waste.
Execute and optimize Georgia-Pacific reliability and asset strategies for assigned assets. Provide technical expertise and transfer knowledge to operators/technicians and Converting Technical Leader. Work with support personnel to resolve short term reliability issues. Provide strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of safety, asset reliability, cost optimization, quality capability, productivity and strategic capital planning and execution. Position team for year-over-year continuous improvement. Interface with Shift Leaders, Skill Developers, Performance Leader, and operators/technicians to identify and address knowledge gaps.
Develop/verify skills of others in the team system. • Work with tissue converting operators and leaders to improve tissue quality and system-wide throughput. Develop relationship between paper and converting areas of the tissue system Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Five (5) or more years of experience in tissue converting. Ability to work in a team-based environment and willingness to put the team first. Ability to work with and through others and to challenge the status quo to facilitate improvement. Ability to stay current in best practices and be a continuous learner.
What Will Put You Ahead Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering • Ten (10) or more years of experience in the specific area of tissue converting. This position will provide parallel technical direction, focused mainly on occupational health of responding workers, chemical safety, and Industrial Hygiene (IH)-related needs for emergency response, as well as other exposure-related projects.
This position will also provide technical support to other internal CTEH divisions, including internal professional development and growth of ASG supporting scientists.
