2024 semester, starting on 1/16/2024. We are looking for instructors to teach at the Main Campus in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as well as at our Kirkwood Regional Center at the University of Iowa in Coralville, Iowa. The English instructor will primarily be teaching Fundamentals of Oral Communication, Public Speaking, and Workplace Communication.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Constant (67-100%) Effectively organize and teach Fundamentals of Oral Communication, Public Speaking, and/or Workplace Communication in accordance with established and/or developed syllabi. Effectively teach in various delivery formats, including in-person and asynchronously online. Maintain current course syllabi for all courses taught. File a current copy of the syllabus at the beginning of each term in accordance with department guidelines. Effectively organize and prepare learning activities for assigned
courses in accordance with established syllabi. Evaluate, record, and share student performance and progress on a regular basis and provide students with timely feedback.
Make student referrals when deemed necessary to the other college personnel such as the dean, counselor, Financial Aid, etc. for more specialized information and assistance.
