Job Summary: This position supports PACAF's SIP program and is responsible for all aspects of Performance Work Statement-specified academic and simulator training of F-22 pilots. Job Responsibilities: Conducting academic training including birdpit/Crew Resource Management (CRM), Instrument Refresher Course (IRC), Theater Indoctrination (TI), Local Area Orientation (LAO), Mission Qualification (MQT) and Upgrade Training. Conducting simulator (Mission Training Center) training in support of PACAF pilot training: provide:
(1) Basic MTC console operation; (2) MTC console operation while providing instruction; and (3) Direct/support instruction (i.
e. “over the shoulder” or while flying the MTC). Maintaining training and evaluation records for each employee detailing individual training and certification/qualification (AF Form 8 for MTCI/CIP). The Contractor shall document instructor proficiency training on Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), equipment, software and systems as they are modified Minimum Qualifications: Current (i. e. operational flight experience) within 8 years, unless currently performing similar aircrew instruction duties. Previous fighter experience in AV-8, A-10, F-15, F-16, F/A-18, F-22A, F-35 or compatible aircraft as an instructor (“K” prefix).
Able to perform AF Form 8 Certified Instructor duties in MTC weapon system using current tactics and employment standards. Able to fly the simulator in the capacity of a 2 or 4-ship flight lead using current tactics and employment standards. These instructors will maintain ground training currency (IRC, CRM, etc. ) and be physically qualified to perform these duties. US citizen with current Top Secret clearance eligibility (no dual citizenship). Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
