Performs observation, monitoring, and security work in controlling access of public and internal entrances and exits at the Department of Corrections Juvenile Detention Facility. 50% - Security Management - Maintains security by controlling access into and out of the facility, using audio and visual monitors including employee, public and law enforcement entrances.
Primary provider of electronic access and movement within the facility. Effectively communicates through verbal or electronic means. Operates electronic and video security equipment from a locked master control booth and performs a vital role as a member of the corrections staff team in maintaining facility and
building security. Monitors all movement and activities of the interior and exterior of the facility. 25% - Customer Service - Processes and logs visitors to the facility by ensuring visitors have been approved for visitation; requests staff to bring client to visitor; ensures that the area in which the client is being transported through remains secure, maintains number of visitations to ensure that client does not exceed the regulated limit; ensures that visitors carry only what is permitted into secure area.
Provides customer service through a high volume of contact with staff, visitors and members of the public. Answers telephone calls to the facility; transferring them to the appropriate
location, pages employees and visitors when necessary. Provides customer service to the parents by providing the parent a handbook, answering questions and obtaining the appropriate releases to be signed by the parent or guardian.
20% - Records Maintenance - Maintains a Master Control Board; recording the number and location of every detained client. Prepares and maintains various records, forms, logs, and boards; to include visitation information and authorization in compliance with established policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma. Transcript verifying education credits is required. One year of experience in working with the public in customer service or security work.
Professional references are required to verify the related work experience. a Facilities Maintenance Technician: This position is responsible for performing general repairs to Community Living homes, main facility and grounds. Work directly with the Director of Facilities/Construction with the day to day operation of maintenance. Personnel will make recommendations to contact outside vendors if repairs cannot be made internally and follow-up to verify completion.
Applicant should have the following knowledge or skills: carpentry, HVAC, plumbing and electric. Starkey will accept " Make Ready" experience also. Requirements for the Facilities Maintenance Technician role: Must have proof of education (High School Diploma or GED) Valid Driver's License for
