Position Summary: The General Machinist reports to the Production supervisor and completes various tasks such as operating machines, making minor repairs, and preparing products for shipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sets-up & operates non-CNC machines. Sets-up & operates CNC Grinding machines, as well as lapping, seals, impeller and liner sleeving equipment per work instructions.
Inspects, gauges, and documents hourly production as required. Cleans & performs minor repair of fixtures & minor PM on equipment as required. Tracks and documents hourly production and set-up times as required. Unpacks, washes & prepares shipments as required. Completes training as required by the position. Qualifications / Requirements: Able to Read and write. Basic Math Skills. Read Blueprints and understand how to use inspection instruments. Able to pass proficiency tests on the above skills. Has Basic computer/technology skills. Experience Maintaining records. Desired Characteristics: Excellent people skills and adaptable to change.
