Hybrid with three dedicated office days of Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with the opportunity to work from home Wednesday and Friday. You will also be eligible to work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. As a GIS technician you will provide GIS support to Mine Services (Reclamation, Surveying, Geotechnical and Mines Planning) and Permitting departments, as well as various
secondary customers. In this role you will create, maintain, analyze, and derive products from the spatial data that is used for internal planning and external reporting purposes.
Additionally, you will work with supervision to perform advanced GIS procedures, GIS project management, and GIS solution development. GIS Library Maintenance: mine wide layers, aerial photography, GPS/Survey data, other mapping resources. Advanced GIS Procedures: complex geoprocessing and calculations, spatial analysis, process automation. GIS Project
Management: coordinate with project leads to address GIS needs. Innovation: develop and implement GIS solutions to Mine Services needs, streamline existing GIS processes.
