management Key and Access Control Building Automation Controls Visualization and Reporting Tools Custom Software Development Partner / Customer Support Responsibilities You will work with F&O departments to install, provision, configure, and maintain Windows, Linux, embedded, storage, and network systems that underpin Facilities & Operations mission of supporting the University's buildings and grounds.
Occasional travel around the Ann Arbor campus may be required to support access, metering, and control systems within buildings. Collaborate with and support programmer, DBA, and application specialist teams Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows Servers Install, configure and maintain Sharepoint Server farm Install, configure and maintain extensive camera support servers and devices Install and maintain a wide variety of server applications for F&O users Install, configure, and maintain server, storage, and networking hardware Ensure system components work properly together Monitor and maintain network and system security and integrity Apply OS and application security patches and mitigations Evaluate and optimize system performance Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored Troubleshoot problems reported by users, analyze and isolate issues Maintain on-site building automation, utilities metering, and other devices Work with vendors to coordinate installation, support, and maintenance Maintain network-connected devices across the entire Ann Arbor campus Maintain network services such as web, file, and remote access servers Allocate network addresses and keep DNS entries up to date Adjust firewall rules to allow appropriate access Maintain configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services Use network monitoring tools such as Nagios and Splunk Work with campus central IT to request and adjust shared services Develop and document IT processes and procedures Utilize Microsoft Powershell scripts to automate server administration This role may involve interaction with or support for systems handling sensitive institutional data as outlined in university policies.

Required Qualifications At least 3 years experience working with Microsoft Windows Failover Clustering and Microsoft SQL Server At least 2 years experience working with HPE Storage Area Networks At least 3 years experience using GPOs and Power Shell to manage Windows Servers and Active Directory At least 2 years experience working with a VMware v Sphere cluster At least 2 years experience with HPE One View server management solutions At least 2 years experience updating, installing and maintaining Sharepoint including Sharepoint 19 and 22 At least 3 years experience in managing networked camera systems and servers including device integration and setup Demonstrated understanding of networking concepts such as addressing, protocols, routing, firewalls, PKI, hash functions, and encryption Implementation of cyber security best practices At least 2 years of working with Unix-like operating systems, primarily Linux Experience with networking, systems and applications development, systems analysis and integration, computer operations, Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing demands and priorities Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy Ability to work with diverse members and colleagues at all levels of technological understanding At least 2 years experience with Check Point firewalls.
Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Experience with Industrial Control System applications for power distribution and monitoring Working knowledge of Io T, HVAC controls, and building automation systems Working knowledge of mac OS, i OS, and Android Working knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention systems Background and familiarity with Azure, AWS, containers / kubernetes Work Locations It is expected that you will relocate to a reasonable commuting distance from the Ann Arbor campus.
