SUMMARY As a Business Banking Lender, you will be part of the newly developed Business Banking team! Your areas of focus will be to build a network of Center of Influences and to partner with business banking clients and prospects with revenues generally below $5MM.

You will work to identify the best opportunities for your client and work to deepen the banking relationship through loan, deposit, and treasury services. JOB DUITIES Engage with business banking clients and prospects in order to uncover and meet their borrowing, depository, and treasury needs. Develop relationships with Centers of Influences within your market to identify new business banking opportunities. Manage

a portfolio of business banking relationships to meet client needs on an ongoing basis.

Maintain a prospect list and work to create unique and specialized customer experiences to attract them as new clients. Manage internally referred business banking prospects from your Commercial, Mortgage, Branch and Treasury partners. Represent the Bank at various community functions, particularly those in which business banking clients are present. Participate in community outreach programming aimed at early-stage business owners seeking to better understand the business lending process. Review loan requests for suitability to the Bank's credit, profitability and policy standards.

Provide timely and direct feedback relating to Mercantile's newly developed systems and processes aimed at creating excellent client experiences and internal efficiencies. Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing plans for both existing and prospective clients, including opportunities to leverage social media, email, and other forms of outreach. Comply with all laws, regulations, bank policies, and procedures. Required Travel for this position is between 11-20% with the assigned market in Grand Rapids, MI. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 3 years of experience in banking with experience in Commercial Credit and/or Business Sales.

Bachelor's Degree in Business related field. Sales experience preferred. Commercial Credit Analyst experience preferred. Exceptional Customer Service skillset with strong problem-solving abilities.
