in still photography and photo journalism -- not being a passive observer, but able to talk to INL researchers and show the science and the story behind the photo. • Photography requirements include the ability to create impactful images using complex strobe lighting scenarios or available light in challenging situations.
Subjects range from researchers in laboratories to support staff activities, VIP tours, studio and location portraiture and construction progress. 360-degree virtual tour imagery is also necessary. • Multiple cameras may be required including traditional Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR), Go Pro, and Ricoh 360. • Photo editing requirements include extensive knowledge
of Adobe Photoshop to optimize imagery for color accuracy, cropping or manipulation for graphic effect. Reformatting for use in video or other applications may also be required.
Once finalized, images are catalogued and maintained in a records repository. • Manages contracts and personnel from photo and video subcontractors. Provides detailed direction to subcontract artists attachments. A portfolio is required for this position. Minimum Requirements: • PR0300-- -- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, photography or new media plus 5 years of relevant experience in the field of photography OR advanced degree plus 3 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and 13+ years of relevant
