paint colors and finishes, mixing if needed. Prepares surfaces to be painted, which may include removing prior finishes through chemicals, grit blast, or other methods. Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects furniture, hardware, trim, and other nonpainted surfaces.
Applies paint to interior nad exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, airbrushes, stencils, and other tools. Performs basic stencil and line work, which may include painting lines on factory floors, parking lots, and other surfaces. May apply wallpaper, specialty finishes and glazes. Complies with chemical and wast storage and disposal regulations and best practices. Builds scaffolding according to safety
regulations. Maintains a clean work areas. Prepares invoices and other paperwork detailing material and labor time and costs. Preforms other duties as assigned. Other Functions: Assist with snow removal and salting to assure all walkways are passable and safe.
Assist with testing fire alarms and emergency generator systems. Perform other related functions as required or as assigned. Positions Requirements A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in professional or commercial painting carpentry, and drywall. Basic computer skills to utilize the electronic work order system via Phone or computer. Ability to effectively interact with a diverse leadership team, staff, residents, and third-party associates, including vendors, providers and visitors. Physical Demands: An Extensive amount of standing, walking, kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching above the head and shoulders. Ability to routinely loft and push up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent use of ordinary communication, including normal levels of hearing and vision, including both near and far seeing, color discrimination, field of vision, and depth perception Working Conditions: This position is performed both inside and outdoors in sometimes inclement weather and must periodically work in areas of high noise.
Work is sometimes performed in a shard shop environment. Mental and Emotional Requirements This position requires: Understanding and implementing simple written and verbal instructions. Planning own work. Working independently or as a member of a team, and the ability to work with limited supervision. Routinely working on multiple tasks at a time, under moderate amounts of pressure for results, with frequently changing priorites for extreme accuracy.

Also includes the disposal of hazardous waste created by either process, and storing the waste in marked containers.
