on the system to be provided as it is evolving. Expands upon designs and generates manufacturing-ready documentation. Collaborates with software and engineering teams to ensure additive manufacturing bioprinting hardware and software compatibility. Designs and develops PCB layouts, schematics, and other hardware designs.

Performs risk analysis and proposes risk mitigation strategies for hardware systems. Manages hardware-related tasks such as vendor selection. Stays informed on industry trends and technological advancements to ensure continuous improvement of hardware design processes. Interfaces directly with client stakeholders to determine hardware needs. Interfaces directly with a

software architect or engineer(s), or with other mechanical or electrical engineers. Performs cost-benefit analysis to determine the best methods or approaches for meeting the hardware requirements; makes maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components.

Partitions large hardware systems into (successive layers of) subsystems and components each of which can be handled by a single hardware engineer or team of engineers. Ensures that maximally robust hardware architecture is developed. Requires a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and at least six months of experience with 3D printer hardware development, including experience with SOLIDWORKS.
