Job Duties: Chosen candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining IT Engineering Cloud service support with Platform as a Service (Paa S) for customer enterprise with 4,500 users; 13,336 computer accounts; 37 networks; over 2,111 virtual and physical servers of various operating
systems and brands; 30 petabytes of disk storage; over 383 petabytes of tape storage; and over 1500 miles of network fiber. Will implement, operate, maintain, and enhance an on-premises Infrastructure as a Service Offering meeting local service levels according to NIST SP 800-145; Operate, maintaining, and enhance a self-service portal, automation tools, reporting tools and dashboards; reporting system capacity to system owners.
Apply ITIL, Agile, Lean methodologies to facilitate valuable investments, fast development, resilient operations, assured conformance, and continual improvement to co-create value with the customer. Responsibilities also include - but are not limited to: Creating
and maintaining system and application blueprints for new portal offerings.
Provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems and environments in a Hybrid Cloud environment to include Private Clouds such as the on-premises. Being adept with the VMware environment and the Public and Community Clouds to include the IC Commercial Cloud Service, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud and other cloud providers. Operating and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and monitoring services enabling high availability of on-premises and cloud systems and applications. Migrating legacy systems and applications to cloud implementations (both on-premises and off-premises).
Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS in a related IT or STEM field of study; 5 years work experience in equivalent IT career field. Minimum of 5 years of experience; capable of troubleshooting complex IT problems independently. Certification: IASAE Level II certification per AFMAN 17-1303, Do DD 8140.01, and Do DD 8570.01-M; One or more of the following: VMware Professional Certification, Amazon Web Svs Cloud Solutions Architect or AWS Sys Ops Admin Certification; ITIL Foundations Clearance: An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required for consideration.
