Full-Time Description Job Summary Provide registered nursing care to the patients of the Emergency Department (ED) by performing a variety of tasks. They practice within the scope of services dictated by the Missouri Nurse Practice Act. The fundamentals of professional nursing apply throughout all role definitions.
Specific functional tasks and delegations to lead and direct the environment and staff the ED are defined below. appropriate to patient complaint and history Utilizes the nursing process in the delivery of patient care backss patients needing immediate attention or intervention and bring to attention of the Emergency Department Physician and/or Emergency Department Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Implement appropriate nursing standards of care After consultation with Emergency Department Physician and/or Emergency Department APRN, initiate appropriate pre-approved protocols Evaluate patient status and responses to interventions and care Documentation of backssment/reassessment of patient per policy Documentation of hourly rounding per policy Documentation of vital signs per policy Documentation of numerical
