Assistant Hotel Manager/Events Manager
The values and ethics allow us to create an individual and memorable experience for everyone that walks through our doors, both employees and guests alike. We are looking for a qualified, dynamic, goal-oriented Assistant Hotel Manager to oversee a 106 room hotel in the Emporia, KS area.
The Assistant Manager will serve as the primary point of contact and provide leadership for the hotel for all aspects of department daily operations, hotel/management company initiatives, and issue resolution. They must conduct themselves with the highest level of professionalism including; demeanor, honesty, integrity, and ethics at all times. Responsibilities include: - Keep in constant contact with
the Supervisor, General Managers in all aspects of hotel operations, and hold staff accountable for the highest level of customer service standards and results.
- Cultivates an environment for superior customer service, and maintains properties to the highest standards of cleanliness and condition. - Responsible for the full implementation and consistency of both hotel and company standards, and procedures. - Work hands-on to guide properties in improving service standards, increasing profit and operational efficiency, and maintaining standards at all times. - Assist in meeting/exceeding all financial goals, and area's budgets and expenses. - Motivate and develop a strong Sales environment
in order to further drive business and excellence within each given market.
- Provides written documentation of daily progress, staff and attention items for follow up. - Develop short term action plans and long range planning for new programs and strategies that impact the hotels based on existing corporate directed goals and any new goals that are created. - Work closely with General Manager on any Standard Operation Procedures that need to be implemented, or employee related issues or needs. - Someone who is honest and dedicated, with strong work ethics, willing to join a closely held business and grow with the company for the long term. Requirements: Ideal candidate should have previous successful management experience and is currently residing in, and familiar with the Emporia, Kansas area market.
- 2+ Years Hotel Manager or Hotel Sales Manager level hotel experience and/or 4+ years Front Desk Manager hotel position experience - Must possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong ability to speak with poise - Must possess excellent training skills and extremely reliable - Must have exceptional leadership skills and ability to direct, coach, mentor, and develop General Managers - Must be a strong motivator, with ability to execute strategic direction for the company and influence others in support of the strategy
