Summary: Vetn Care is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Irvington Pet Hospital! Veterinary Assistants are essential to our clinics daily operations and play an integral part in our team. They are focused on appointments,
treatments, dental cleanings, and surgical assistance. Our structured online and practical training program will help you advance your skills and knowledge in these areas.
You will work closely with our doctors and provide a great experience for our patients while gaining continuing opportunities to learn new skills through our structured training program. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Physical examinations and patient backssment- TPR, Treatment Plan Presentation, Treatments Surgical preparation and assisting Anesthesia monitoring and recovery Dentistry cleanings and x-rays Radiology- Full body and extremities Inpatient care Venipuncture/laboratory processing Catheter placement Training
and development of junior/new veterinary assistants Qualifications: Previous experience or training/education working in a veterinary facility preferred Must be friendly, outgoing, people oriented Comfortable around animalinteractioncellent communication skills Must be capable of being cross-trained for occasional front office receptionist duties Telephone and computer skills are necessary.

A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $20.00 to $30.00, dependent on experience. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensures and certifications, education, and other business and organizational needs.
