Duties/Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach veterinary students and postgraduate veterinarians and collaborate with faculty in production and clinical medicine. The duties of this position focus primarily on building upon the teaching and service missions of the Food Animal Health and Management Program by working with existing faculty members to provide didactic and on-farm clinical experiences for veterinary students, as well as developing and contributing to continuing education for referring veterinarians and extension programs for producers in the livestock industry.

The brand new and state-of-the-art livestock haul-in facility on the campus of the TVDIL allows for the provision of a wider array of health services to rural producers. The facility is designed to facilitate the offering of specialized reproductive management services for large and small ruminants (embryo transfer, in vitro fertilization, laparoscopic artificial insemination, etc. ), bovine foot care and lameness evaluation, and routine clinical services (breeding soundness examinations, dehorning, clinical examination, etc. ).
