Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal codes and regulations. Selects, orients, trains, assigns, schedules, coaches, counsels and disciplines staff. Evaluates functionality and reliability of
facility systems and associates equipment. Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending and implementing changes, expansions and additions.
Minimum Education BS degree in Engineering or related discipline or technical education equivalent Experience Requirements 0-3 years related experience. Prior supervisory experience. Should have troubleshooting ability, technical knowledge of production equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment. Should possess excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills along with the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements 1. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. 2. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. 3. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
