produce options. JOB SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor must have experience working with short life perishables and manufacturing. The Production Supervisor position exists to ensure a safe and unadulterated product is produced, process controls are in place, and cost-effective production is met.
This position requires an energetic, metrics motivated, and self-actualized individual that demonstrates leadership within the area. This position reports to the Operations Manager and will have the opportunity to lead projects and actively participate in strategic operations initiatives. 3rd shift hours are Tuesday-Saturday 5:30pm-1:30am ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans work schedules,
assigns responsibilities, and evaluates work to ensure expectations are met Responsible for interviewing, selecting, and training of direct reports Conducts performance teammates' evaluations and administers corrective actions as necessary Manages all teammates within the Fresh Cut (" FCH" ), Living Organic Herbs (" LOH" ), shipping and receiving, and quality control (" QC" ) departments Engages in short and long-term planning Manages ongoing projects, and aids in the development of future projects Ensures an adequate inventory of packing supplies is maintained Monitors and improves operational KPIs.
Aids in the development of SOPs and process controls Interfaces with Corporate Safety & Compliance department to ensure a safe work environment is maintained Interfaces with QA and Food Safety teammates to provide a high quality and safe product is shipped to customers Ensures that all product is adequately selected accordingly for Company customers Interacts with Human Resources personnel as needed to ensure proper staffing and all teammates adhere to Company policies Plans, motivates, and holds Leads accountable for their department's performance Adheres to all requirements of sanitation, GMP, HACCP standards, and other hygiene policies Observes and practices housekeeping procedures Be a role model for the Shenandoah Growers Core Values-Honesty, Humility, Mutual Respect, Discipline, Passion/Enthusiasm/Determination Supervise, train monitor, and discipline department personnel.
Handle conflict effectively. Work with the Production Manager and General Manager to ensure production orders/sales orders are completed on a timely basis while maintaining quality. Promote cross-training of teammates wherever possible to grow the workforce and increase coverage of all jobs. Adheres to all Company policies and procedures Can work under little supervision Performs other assignments as management may direct Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate Degree or equivalent work experience Experience: 5+ Years Food Processing experience and 3+ Years of Supervisory experience Language Fluency: No specific language requirements; bi-lingual English/Spanish fluency preferred.
