The Agency for Persons with Disabilities works in partnership with local communities to support people with developmental disabilities in living, learning, and working in their communities. APD provides critical services and supports for customers with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential.

The Agency serves people with spina bifida, autism, Down syndrome, children ages 3-5 at high risk of developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, Prader-Willi syndrome, Phelan-Mc Dermid syndrome, and intellectual disabilities.

There is no charge or co-payment for services provided through the Agency. www. apdcares. org SALARY RANGE $32,760.00 - $65,482.44.00 Annually $1,260.00 - $2,518.56 Bi-weekly SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Employees of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities are required to demonstrate total commitment to outstanding customer service. and public we serve at all times. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: The i Connect Training Lead is responsible for coaching a team of training professionals to ensure the successful planning, execution, and timely completion of training projects.

This role requires a combination of leadership, project management, and training expertise to drive the development of effective training programs and resources. The i Connect Training Lead will be responsible for the specific duties listed below: Training Development: Develop APD i Connect training aids such as manuals, handbooks, and visual aids to map out training plans for new software deployment.

Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, and on-the-job coaching. Apply new technologies to deliver courses and improve the learning experience for users (e. g. distance learning, interactive self-paced courses, blended training). Team Leadership Provide leadership and guidance to a team of trainers, instructional designers, and training coordinators. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting professional growth and development among team members. Conduct regular team meetings to facilitate communication and knowledge sharing.

Training Project Planning and Management: Work closely with subject matter experts and trainers to develop and update training programs and curricula. Develop training plan and provide monthly updates to the APD Stakeholder Manager. Allocate resources and tasks to team members, ensuring balanced workloads. Monitor training project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure on-time completion. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in training content and methods. Provide regular updates on project status and performance metrics to leadership.

Review training content and materials created by i Connect Trainers to ensure alignment with learning objectives and quality standards. Provide guidance and feedback to trainers to improve the effectiveness of training materials. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of training materials and delivery. Conduct regular backssments and evaluations of training programs to identify areas for improvement. Ensure that training programs comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Prepare and present reports on training team performance, project status, and key performance indicators.

Works on special projects and other assignments and/or performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Ability to work independently. Ability to be a team player. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Must have valid drivers license or other efficient means of transportation and willing to travel to different locations throughout the Region for work purposes. BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
