Position Senior Communications and Training Specialist Location USA, Louisville, KY How You'll Create Possibilities Program Planning and Execution: Work closely with the GE Appliances Final Mile Leaders, and internal/external stakeholder groups to develop a comprehensive strategy to improve GE Appliance's Final Mile Training program that can be continuously adapted to the needs of the organization. Develop and maintain a Content and Communications
calendar: Ensure transparency and clear communication of business priorities.
Facilitate internal and external communication related to operations, training, and development. Coordinate regular reviews and updates on headquarters projects for stakeholders and Final Mile Delivery Partners. Technology: Leverage tools, such as AI, to improve existing training documentation, to increase utilization. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Continually backsses training needs by working collaboratively with internal/external Stakeholders. Develops recommendations for training programs that increase overall network performance. Key Performance Indicators: Align key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and impact of training.
Utilize data visualization tools to present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders and process owners. Continuous Process Improvement: Evaluate existing training documents, programs, and platforms. Continuously improve to ensure they remain effective and aligned within network priorities. Certification: Implement a World Class Training and Development Portal and Certification Program which mirrors our dedication to excellence and promotes a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Facilitate Training and Conferences: Plan, organize, and execute both internal and external training sessions and conferences.
This includes creating engaging content that aligns with GE Appliances' Final Mile Delivery and Installation training initiatives, coordinating with various stakeholders for seamless execution, and leveraging feedback for continuous improvement. What You'll Bring to Our Team Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Adult Learning, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in training and operations, preferably in the distribution and supply chain domain.
Proven experience in creating training content, developing certification programs, and producing job aids. Preferred Qualifications: Education: Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Adult Learning, or a related field. Experience: Proven track record of successfully implementing new training programs. Technical Proficiency: Prior experience with advanced data techniques and technologies, including AI, GPT-based models like Chat GPT, machine learning, and web development and design. Skills: Strong knowledge of training best practices, adult learning principles, and project management methodologies.
Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making abilities. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with all aspects of distribution, including warehousing, transportation, logistics, and Final Mile best practices. Knowledge of industry trends and technologies in the distribution and supply chain domain. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems, and ability to learn new systems. Other Requirements: Willingness to collaborate with various departments within the organization.
