Responsibilities This position is responsible for developing and facilitating the production training program for IGT products and applications. The training program will encompass all new hire training and recertification including the design and delivery of highly
effective training content for all levels of production. This position will add cross-departmental support and training, improve all OEE measurements, reduce turnover for Full Time/Part Time team members, and it will allow a pathway for advancement and cross-functional skill development.
Develop and maintain a cross-functional partnership with production, engineering, and quality. Develop basic and advanced training content for all levels of production and evaluate the effectiveness of existing training and adjust when necessary. Search for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to increase productivity and safety among the production lines. Deliver production training
courses on the production floor and in a classroom, using a variety of formats including active hands-on training, instructor-led training, and group learning.
Must be open to schedule flexibility that will allow working one day a week on swing shifts and occasional weekends. Facilitate new employee onboarding production training, including safety and compliance training. Coaching to provide constructive development during training and correction of production issues. All other activities as assigned. Qualifications High School degree or equivalent. 1-2 years training experience in production/manufacturing. The ability to communicate business and manufacturing processes to new or existing team members, including articulating distinctions between complex products, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of manufacturing, including production techniques, parts, and materials. Knowledge of all manufacturing hand tools and the proper use of each within a given manufacturing station. Ability to understand MES, LEAN, and Quality fundamentals, such as Zero-Defects, FPY, and OEE. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, MES, MOC, Hi Pot testing, and JIRA. Skilled in completing successive inspections and final testing. Familiar with researching, retrieving, and and using Document Control files (Archer, SAP), Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI), Temporary Process Instructions (TPI), Test Documents, IGT’s New and Used Workmanship Standards, and Production issue management tools in the diagnosis of issues and implementation of training and coaching.
Ability to work swing shifts to as required. Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree. 2+ years training role experience within a production operation. Familiarity with IGT products, business practices, Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI), Temporary Process Instructions (TPI), Test Documents, and IGT’s New and Used Workmanship Standards.
