PURPOSE STATEMENT Plans, organizes and conducts theoretical or applied scientific research, which contributes the technical knowledge and expertise necessary to commercialize and expand existing RPC business platforms. Analyzes research data and prepares detailed reports and presentations for R&D
management and other key stakeholders. Provides technical leadership and is a key contributor to initiatives in product/process development. Responsible for NPD, product maintenance and product improvement for assigned category.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure successful development and commercialization of new products, product improvement or cost reductions. Conduct research and development activities concerned with dough rheology and baked product formulations in order to develop new products. Accountabilities require the ability to successfully partner with others cross-functionally through efficient, timely communication. Provides technical leadership and is
a key contributor to initiatives in product/process development. May have limited supervisory responsibilities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES Acts as a project leader, planning, managing and conducting research projects in product or process development or in specific area of expertise (microbiology, food chemistry, engineering). Establishes project methodology and time tables, identifies and organizes project team, coordinates other needed resources and monitors project progress. Provides guidance and day-to-day supervision to members on scientific project teams. Mentors associates within the R&D department by sharing technical knowledge and expertise and providing necessary training.
Proposes new or innovative methods for using technology to resolve problems. Prepares and edits reports and regular updates, providing concise summaries of project work. Present project results and recommendations to various audiences including R&D associates, other RPC staff and interested external groups. Seeks centers of expertise or technology, inside and outside of Rich Products Corporation, which may provide beneficial knowledge related to research activities. Communicates and shares expertise with others. Represents the company with outside vendors, suppliers, universities, associations and governmental agencies.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field (e. g. Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Engineering, etc. ) with 8+ years industrial, applied research experience, in job-related field OR Master's degree in Food Science or related field (e. g. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Performs supervised simple and complex molecular tests in the biopharma service (BPS) group at Omniseq by Labcorp laboratory including oncology-based assay processes to support tumor profiling and molecular diagnostic testing.
Technical lead for performing advanced diagnostic laboratory tests (ADLT) using Next-generation Sequencing (NGS) platforms and orthogonal genomic based methodologies. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather workflow requirements, design tests, troubleshoot issues,
and implement solutions. Identifies continuous process improvements in order to deliver the ADLTs results to our biopharma sponsors with fast turnaround time, cost efficiency, scalability and eventual approval by regulatory agencies.
Establishes expertise in the operation of instrumentation and techniques. Devise and execute training, where appropriate, to develop and elevate the technical skills within the team. Support testing as part of clinical trial assays and contract research agreements. Records and analyzes data to ensure QA/QC at each workflow step; ensures completeness and accuracy of data.
