Our current need is for an Environmental Scientist to join our team and support on-going and future investigation and remediation projects. We are seeking people who enjoy working in a diverse environment, are detail oriented, seek to better themselves and are problem solvers. What you'll do : In the office you'll help develop detailed work planning documents, develop investigation strategies, prepare for field
events, track samples from collection through analysis and reporting, review available site data to refine or update the conceptual site model, evaluate data to determine if remedial action objectives are being met and recommend optimizations, draft periodic and unique reports.
In the field you'll oversee and perform site investigations and support remediation activities. Plexus performs work nationwide and travel for field work will be required. What you'll need : Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental or civil engineering, environmental science, or a related field. More than three years of experience related to the site investigations and cleanup of contaminated sites under federal,
state, or other cleanup programs. Experience logging soil borings and installing groundwater monitoring wells.
Understanding of conceptual site models and basic hydrologic concepts. Successful candidate will demonstrate a history of increasing responsibility, initiative, motivation, and creative problem solving. Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail. Ability to work successfully independently, as a member of a team, and as a leader Proficiency with Microsoft Office software. Professional registration preferred. In accordance with the Colorado, New York City, Connecticut Equal Pay Transparency Rules: Plexus offers benefits for full time positions. Full time positions also come with Unlimited PTO days and at certain levels, a bonus program may apply. The Salary range for this role is $65,000 - $95,000 for Colorado based positions only. The Salary Range for this role is $65,000 - $105,000 for New York City based positions only. The Salary Range for this role is $65,000 - $95,000 for Connecticut based positions only Other locations will vary in salary range. Actual salary is dependent on background and experience.
