Develop strategies and apply mathematical, problem-solving, and coding skills to manage big data. backss effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques. Develop data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. Devise and use algorithms and models to mine big-data stores. Perform data and error analysis to improve models. Clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy. Analyze data

Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 4+ years of experience; a combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors degree. Duties Serve as a Data Scientist in the Data Division, Prevention Force Modernization Proponent (PFMP), US Army Center for Initial Military Training.
Provides professional and scientific expertise in performance of work requiring knowledge and application of mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, and/or other scientific principles, methods, and techniques. Use programming languages (e. g. Structured Query Language, Postgre SQL, Bash, Python, and R), business intelligence software (Power BI, Power Automate), and
working knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods to gather data. Responsible for creating, validating, and deploying data models, continually backssing PFMP data environment and architecture.
Developing plans to address data architecture shortfalls, creating, and maintaining role-based data dashboards, configuring and sustain AI/ML Ops pipelines, and providing feasible recommendations to address these shortfalls to senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
