What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be… Identify and lead strategic sourcing projects aimed to TCO reduction Negotiate contracts and cost savings with vendors New vendor scouting, including LCC, with steel plates, fabricated parts and components focus Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory and supplier related data Improve on-time delivery to customers and from vendors Develop and implement programs to optimize inventory turns and improve working capital performance Identify and resolve process and system roadblocks in conjunction with manufacturing engineering to improve productivity and throughput

Help develop analytical and visual management tools evaluating and communicating progress of productivity improvements and cost reductions Issue purchase orders and maintain delivery dates up to date, define reorder points, kanban and other inventory management parameters.

Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepare market analysis reports Review general terms and conditions attached to purchase orders when requested Work in conjunction with Commodity Purchasing Managers to ensure plant and company goals are achieved Contribute to define instructions and purchasing procedures Requirements & Preferred Qualifications … Master’s

degree in Engineering/Economics Supply-base experience with a progressive organization focused on improvements to quality, cost, and delivery A strategic focus and in-depth understanding of the role he/she plays in creating partnerships and cost-containment programs with suppliers Knowledge of accounting and cost systems as well as computerized systems (software and hardware).

At least 4 years’ experience in manufacturing environment ISO 9001 or higher. Well-rounded, high-potential individual who understands all facets of supply chain and materials management. SAP knowledge is a plus. Fluent Knowledge of English. Good Knowledge of Italian. Problem Solving.
