say about working at AIT Worldwide Logistics. Overview AIT is currently seeking a Forklift Operator I! This role will transfer goods and materials from incoming and outbound shipments via a forklift, in addition to moving materials throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered Forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse location Able to operate standard lifting devices and other basic material handling equipment Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials Perform the following: loads, unloads and stacks materials onto lifting device, weighs material or products
and records on production schedules. Perform safety checks on lifts. The ability to follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team.
Comply with all company policies and legal guidelines Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance. Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands are deemed necessary. Actively participates in safety policies, activities, and implementations Physical and Other Requirements: Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain certification in Forklift Operation Minimum lifting of 50 Ibs for a duration of shift, 8-10 hours. Required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but the employee should be capable of working in an open workspace, closely with team members.
