This position will work in the Books, Media and/or Art area of Goodwill's Retail Stores and Warehouse facility sorting books, media, and/or art.
They will need to keep the Book and/or Art Department full, organized and clean. Photograph and generate description cards for art Other duties included but not limited to: donation attendant, merchandising, cleaning and other duties instructed by your immediate supervisors. Sort books, media and art by criteria as instructed. Must pass background test & drug test. Required
Experience: High School graduate or its equivalent preferred. Experience in retail, preferably with books and/or art. Required skills: Must have s ufficient mobility to turn from side to side, lean, kneel or bend.
Ability to lift forty (40) pounds. In-depth knowledge of book, media and art categories. Knowledge of best-selling authors and artists. Ability to use computer to generate description cards and research, work independently with little or no supervision and work a flexible schedule. Assist customers on the sales floor and promptly assist in checkout at the register. This person is expected to become familiar with all departments/categories to assist with customer questions and request. Greet all customers; take donations and provide receipt; cross trained to cover the backdoor donation area and process all stations in the backroom. Other duties as instructed by your immediate supervisor. Must pass background
test & drug test. Required Experience: High school diploma or the equivalent preferred. Retail experience preferred. Required skills: Experience using cash register, adding machine, credit card machine, and telephone.
Able to follow pricing guidelines established in the pricing guide; oral and written instructions. Knowledge of basic math skills; Ability to use good judgment and exercise patience and understanding; bend, stoops, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items; lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds; stand for long periods of time; may have to occasionally work where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.
