BLH seeks a Researcher/Writer to support Federal social and human services programs that address the needs of children and families. Candidates must have a demonstrated track record researching online materials, reviewing, and culling resources, summarizing information, writing succinctly, and meeting deadlines.

This position reports to the Project Director. Major Duties and Responsibilities · Research and identify resources relevant to Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) stakeholders and program administrators, such as articles, briefs, reports, toolkits, trainings, and webinars. · Write brief summaries and topical briefs to support a wide variety of training and technical

assistance (TTA) products, including TTA website content, electronic weekly newsletters, and monthly alerts for TANF practitioners and stakeholders. · Assist in developing and writing TTA content and products, such as literature reviews, environmental scans, briefings, and other TTA projects.

· Support process improvement for weekly and monthly alert production to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency. · Perform notetaking tasks at client meetings and develop summary reports for TTA. Qualifications · A minimum Bachelor's degree. · A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience researching and writing engaging and impactful content for diverse audiences. · Superb communication skills,

including an ability to quickly grasp complex issues and translate them into clear, easy-to-understand content.

· Excellent grammar and proofing skills. · Prior experience developing both long- and short-form content for a variety of modalities, including web, email, video, podcasts, and social media. · Knowledge of Federal plain language guidelines. · Experience with databases, content management systems, and email marketing platforms, such as Constant Contact. · Ability to thrive in both a team and self-managed environment. · Knowledge of social and human services programs for children, families, and underserved communities. · TANF and/or Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act knowledge is a plus.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Teams). · Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines and shifting priorities. · Ability to trave l to support TTA events, when in-person events resume.
