The expanded functions unique to an RN First Assist during surgical intervention are to assume responsibility in advanced surgical assisting skills such as providing exposure, tissue handling, suturing, providing hemostasis, and using surgical instruments. What we are looking for: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Bachelor's degree Current CNOR certification Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio Current BLS/CPRCompletion of an RNFA course and internship that meets the criteria established by AORN for RN first assistant programs.
