Voith Paper is hiring for: QA Inspector-Hourly Summerville, SC Hourly Rate: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour Summary: QA Inspector should be capable of set-up and operation of all the test equipment employed by the quality assurance department.
QA Inspector should have comprehension of the extrusion process and those technical items relating to the production of quality monofilament. QA Inspector should exhibit good attendance habits, maintain a good attitude, and have good morale toward their job and fellow employees and work Resonsiblities: Ability to set-up and operate all quality assurance test
equipment Measurement of free shrinkage in forced air and boiling water. Laser micrometer and hand micrometer operations to determine and control diameter measurement both on-line and in QA area.
Requirements: Know and understand test procedures for stress-strain monitoring Instron unit. Exhibit knowledge of the extrusion process and the relationships that exist between extrusion process variables and the final quality parameters of the monofilament. Be able to monitor processes and apply SPC principles. Be able to correctly identify and dispose of all rejected material based on established guidelines. Exhibit acceptable housekeeping and cleanliness habits. Be able to maintain all work
areas in quality assurance. Must be physically capable of lifting 25 pounds, and able to transport (via a pallet jack) a minimum of 2500 pounds.
Must be able to push/pull creel carts with maximum weights of 1500 pounds. Must be able to separate our products by color. NO COLOR BLINDNESS! Must have depth perception. Must be able to work in a safe manner and follow safety requirement. On the manufacturing floor backssing situation awareness for hazards and take proper safety precautions. Do not leave monofilament on the floor. Always use the correct tool(s) for the task and use proper PPE for the task & exposure High school diploma or equivalent and experience/ability to meet job requirements.
