NASA SEWP is seeking a Software Tester who excels in 508 Accessibility Analysis and testing for Java web-based applications. The ideal candidate will work in a team environment with Testers, Developers, DBAs, Systems Administrators and project managers to develop, validate and verify software applications ensuring quality and dependability.
The Software Tester is responsible for the planning, estimating, writing, and execution of test cases as part of the feature and functionality testing of our products. RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a technical expert on 508 Accessibility, software testing and test automation Design, implement and maintain automated test scripts using tools/frameworks
such as Selenium, or Cucumber. This work shall be shared with other testing teammates Work independently to record and managing defects, communicate issues, risks and status on a timely basis.
Document and update test plans and produce test summary reports for each software release and provide testing results to team leads Develop and execute manual, automated, and regression testing Provide guidance on unit testing tools and frameworks for JAVA Spring and Angular code such as JUnit, Test NG, Mockito, Jasmine, or Karma Collaborate and work with Java developers and internal stakeholders Participate in the maintenance and deployment of projects, providing support outside normal core business
hours or nights and weekends Adapt and contribute to a fast-paced and agile application development environment, adhering to project schedules, and proactively resolve or escalate issues to management EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field Required: Minimum 5 years of testing Spring-based (Java) web applications Required: Experience with automated testing tools including Sort Site and WAVE Preferred: Minimum 3 years of experience working with SQL Server or Oracle databases Preferred: Experience with JBoss, Maven, GIT and Software Development Process Model knowledge Required: Section 508 Trusted Tester certification Preferred: Experience with Jenkins or Hudson Preferred: Experience with Git, Github or Gitlab Preferred: Experience with Agile Development and Continuous Integration OTHER REQUIREMENTS: US Citizen or permanent residency, with ability to obtain a security clearance of Public Trust Must work On-site a minimum of two (2) days per week.
