What you will be doing: Responsible for compliance, safety, and security of products Taking direction from the Quality Manager, directly supports all product testing, ensuring test data is entered as timely and efficiently/accurately as possible Approves in-process and finished goods production by confirming products meet specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating any issues or required adjustments Sample Testing: Acquires required samples from designated areas/points and completes
testing in the lab in accordance with control plans.
Records result in the Quality Tracker, lab files, and/or other records as required, and communicates with Supervision and staff any concerns Process & Line Inspections & Audits: Records inspection results by closely observing production activities, in-process records, and personnel activities as they relate to Quality/GMP.
Product & Trial Material Identification & Containment: Helps ensure products are appropriately labeled (e. g. green sheets, MRB pink slips, MRB yellow sheets). Conducts inspections and testing on incoming (received) materials. Helps monitor measuring and testing equipment for correct usage. Masters all required
testing approaches and assists supervisors across the production floor with training/re-training of personnel on inspection tests and procedures as warranted.
Quality Lab: Assists the Quality Manager in overseeing the Quality Lab, including all measuring and test equipment and gauges within the lab. Fulfills lab requests from the organization, completing in order of priority as directed by the Quality Manager. For all lab requests, issues related reports and findings to appropriate parties, and saves all information. Maintains organized and thorough computer-based files for the lab including lab requests/logs (open and complete), photos, trial status testing, routine and annual reports, and calibration records.
Assist in the management and supply of lab instruments, utensils, and supplies. Supervises and helps train, track, and schedule Quality Technicians Assists QA Manager and others with MRB and RMA dispositions, as well as testing as needed, ensuring 100% completion of records in IFS for each assigned case (closing cases) To support the team and site, participates in any required staff/supervisor meetings, offering meaningful and accurate quality data, results, or information as needed or requested. Assists in complaint or defect investigations, and the verification of corrective actions.
Attends Supervisor meetings, reports quality issues, and assists in solving issues. Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the Quality Management & Manufacturing managers Maintains product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices Must follow all company policies and procedures Our ideal candidate has: 2+ years of college with studies in a science field (e. g. chemistry, engineering). Exceptions can be made for candidates with 5 or more years of direct lab testing experience within our industry and proven supervisory capabilities.
Minimum 2 years' experience in quality / manufacturing environment. Good communication skills, written and verbal. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience. Good basic computer skills. What You'll Be Doing Conducts production process audits, creates reports, follow up on corrective action requests for nonconformances Evaluates product conformance

What You'll Need For This Position 5+ years of experience as a quality technician at a metal working or electronics manufacturing facility or an associate degree in a science or math related field with 3-5 years of experience as a quality technician at a metal working or electronics manufacturing facility.
Experience in Welding, Wire Form and Automation a plus. Ability to read blueprints. 3+ years of metrology experience; experience with Faro Arm, CMM, and/or weld inspection a major plus. Demonstrated ability to communicate quality concepts and information and to get buy-in from external partners to enact improvements. Functional use of Microsoft Office Excel and Power Point; Mini-Tab proficiency a plus.
