Summary: The Physical Tester II receives, processes, and maintains records on laboratory samples. This position performs physical tests on aggregates, concrete, cement, lime, and associated materials. The position performs maintenance duties for
equipment including janitorial duties and other duties. What you’ll be contributing: Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Performs routine physical tests on concrete, aggregates, cement, masonry mortars, lime, and other materials. Maintains records and equipment, calculate test results, and maintain proficiency in testing techniques and procedures. Receives, maintains records on, and stores laboratory samples and supplies. Conducts sample preparations of specimens for routine physical tests on concrete, cement, aggregates, and other materials. Schedules testing, enters test data and reviews results for accuracy. Trains and develops
Physical Tester I. Maintains certification in American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Testing Technician - Grade I, Strength Testing Technician, and Aggregate Testing Technician.
Participates in AASHTO certification reviews and inspections. Maintains and calibrates equipment and records per AASHTO requirements. Assists Physical Testing Supervisor in writing reports and setting up work orders. To succeed in this position, you will need: High school graduation or equivalent is required Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Willingness to learn, training will be provided Minimum Vocational / Technical ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician (Grade I) Minimum Other ACI Strength Testing Technician Minimum Other ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Minimum 2 Years of Experience in ASTM concrete/mortar/aggregate testing procedures What’s next for you?
