Responsibilities: · Performs inspections, surveillance, and requirement compliance while overseeing fabrication, assembly, test, and checkout of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and aerospace flight hardware.

· Performs acceptance of GSE/hardware, receiving inspections, and review of Acceptance Data Packs. · Work with coworkers, engineering Subject Matter Experts, and contractors/vendors to verify quality/engineering requirements, resolve technical issues, address nonconformances, and document technical issues. · Frequently works independently at

offsite vendor locations. · backssments/audits of the support contractor's Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring products & services are produced per design documentation (quality and engineering requirements).

· Evaluate adequacy, compliance, and effective of contractor's QMS activities and provide direct input to SA-F Quality management. · Perform Government Mandatory Inspection Points (GMIPS), in-line backssments, surveillance inspections, and track associated nonconformances. · Perform insight & oversight of processing for EGS program as assigned. Focused on processing critical flight hardware and GSE. · Work with a variety of systems such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pyros, and pneumatics.

· Identify quality & safety issues, concerns, and potential risks that need mitigation. Required Experience/Education: · Education: High School Diploma · Experience: 4 yrs. minimum of direct procurement quality assurance experience. · QMS audits & backssment and quality surveillance (fabrication, assembly, test and checkout) practices. · KSC hardware/aerospace experience is highly desired. · Must be able to interact and develop excellent working relationships with various customers, peers, and management within and outside of KSC S&MA. Security Clearance Requirement: · Must be able to qualify for an unescorted badge (US Citizen required) and be able to pass a background investigation & drug test.

Preferred Experience: · Strong quality procurement background with technical experience in acquisition of critical / complex GSE and flight hardware that may be large structures system-level components, or small assemblies. · Quality experience in operations with a variety of systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc. ). · Technical experience on aircraft, aerospace vehicles/ payloads, military systems is desired. · AS9100/ Quality Management System (QMS) auditing, compliance, and requirements backssment experience.

· Experience monitoring & evaluating contractor processing activities. · Experience with weld inspections and electrical harness assembly. · Ability to read/interpret drawings and specifications. · Auditing experience · Clear, concise communication and writing skills presenting plans, technical issues, and project status. · Proficiency with computers, using Microsoft products Word, Excel, etc. · Experience with (or ability to learn) virtual meeting products (MS teams, Zoom, etc. ) is highly desired.

Work Environment : · Office environment and operational areas - KSC Test Facilities and Supplier/Vendor Test/ Manufacturing Facilities · Full time: 40 hrs. /week, including occasional extended shifts, weekends, holidays, and possible shift rotation (1st, 2nd or 3rd). · Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication, both verbally and written. · Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, management, contractors, and customers Travel Requirements : · Requires ability to travel domestically (within the U. S. ) periodically Physical Requirements : · Location: Kennedy Space Center and vendor/ manufacturing sites · Occasional Working at Heights required; extended periods of standing, stooping, and bending are possible.

Frequently works independently at offsite vendor locations. · Requires sitting for periods of time at a workstation/ desk and / work in operational processing areas. Ability to climb stairs. · Ability to lift >15 lbs.
