) and traditional classroom instruction, possibly evenings and weekends. JOB SUMMARY: To provide a quality education for Central Arizona College students. Perform instruction-related and other duties and responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, vision, mission, policies, and procedures of the college. Responsibilities Faculty member will: Teach courses in graphic design and digital media, focusing

on design fundamentals, the Adobe Creative Cloud, and web design. The ability to teach motion graphics and animation experience preferred May teach classes in mass communication and digital video as necessary Proficiency operating a variety of computer software including all Adobe Creative Cloud programs as well as, MS word, Excel, Teams, and Power Point and multimedia equipment.

Provide and present information, content, and context through lecture, laboratory, simulation, recitation, seminars and/or other learning venues utilizing a variety of teaching/learning styles as appropriate to the course content. Employ a variety of backssment tools; evaluate grades and comment on student work

in order to facilitate and ensure student progress throughout the course.

Communicate with students as appropriate. This may include email, online discussions, virtual chats within Blackboard, instant messaging (IM), telephone and/or face-to-face consultations to provide frequent feedback. Establish and maintain office hours per college policy. Maintain records of student progress and performance; completes and returns required reports to the appropriate office by established due date. Develop, prepare and evaluate instructional materials. Write and develop syllabi and course calendars. Review and update course outlines, text selection and syllabi in cooperation with other faculty and appropriate district academic chair or program director.

Propose and develop new courses, curriculum, programs, instructional materials, and evaluation tools as necessary to meet the needs of the students and community. Assist in recruitment and retention of students through the development and implementation of teaching and learning strategies primarily in the instructional setting. Cultivate development of instructional programs and knowledge of trends, pedagogy, andragogy, and new technologies. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidates will have an MA or MFA in graphic design, interactive design, or related discipline.

Experience teaching at the collegiate level, 2+ years of design industry experience. DESIRABLES: Experience in seeking out new software, skills, and techniques to integrate into the curriculum. The DMA major currently offers a graphic design and digital photography/video track and we are seeking an applicant who will help develop a gaming and animation track. Experience providing leadership in the development and delivery of curriculum in the design field; experience providing collaborative opportunities between faculty of diverse disciplines; experience with innovative teaching methodologies, team teaching across diverse disciplines, and incorporating technology into teaching and learning; experience teaching diverse student populations in a rural setting; and experience teaching at the community college level.

Experience in teaching a variety of modalities to include face-to-face, online, and hybrid live-streaming. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Be current in subject area and possess the ability to develop, prepare, and evaluate instructional materials that promote learning, along with the willingness to utilize alternative teaching techniques and instructional technology where appropriate INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Demonstrates the willingness as well as the capacity to cooperate in a professional and courteous manner with other college employees and students.

Shares knowledge and contributes to helping others collegially while supporting the mission of the College. SALARY: Dependent upon educational level and experience. The required teaching load is thirty-equated hours per academic year.
