Qualifications All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-12/14/2023-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.
e. work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).
This experience includes activities such as: assisting in the organization and maintenance of land management tract files and automated lands management data systems to track land ownership and use, easement status, tract history and easement violations. performing oversight of scenic easement interest and monitoring land ownership changes, working with municipalities and county governments to assure current information and ownership data. Working with landowners on issues such as land transfers, building permits, zoning issues related to easement terms and conditions.
Assisting with real property records for accuracy and currency. Coordinate GIS projects related to easements agricultural use and right of way programs. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least one (1) year of graduate level study in directly-related fields such as natural resource management, natural sciences, agricultural land use, zoning and planning, real estate and appraisal, earth sciences, archeology, recreation management, or other closely related subjects pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources.
Course work in fields other than those specified may be accepted if it clearly provides applicants with the background of knowledge and skills necessary for successful job performance in the position to be filled. (You MUST submit a copy of transcripts that includes with your name, school name, credit hours, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. A copy of your official transcripts will be required before entrance on duty, if selected). Working Conditions: Work is generally performed in an office setting, but periodic trips to the field are required to make on-site property inspections. When working outdoors the incumbent will be exposed to weather conditions ranging from hot summers to bitter cold, snowy winters.
