Responsibilities The successful candidate is expected to establish and maintain a robust externally funded research program, have a strong commitment to teaching excellence in undergraduate and graduate courses, and participate in college and professional service.
Qualifications Candidates must possess an earned Ph. D. in civil and/or environmental engineering or closely related discipline. Post-doctoral experience in related topic areas is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) License or the ability to obtain a Florida
PE license is highly desirable. Helpful The successful candidates will work in areas that complement and strengthen existing faculty research and teaching in infrastructure systems.
We expect to hire at the Assistant Professor rank, but well-qualified candidates will be considered at a higher rank. Although the search is open to highly qualified applicants in broad range of disciplines in these subjects, primary areas of interest are specified as follows: Infrastructure Systems : We are seeking highly qualified applicants with research in infrastructure as a system considering interactions between components. Applicants with primary expertise in component-level resilience and/or sustainability
with minimum consideration of system aspects will not be competitive.
