Overview: The Communications Manager for OPW is responsible for
leading our internal and external marketing communications to support the achievement of the OPW strategic plan.
He/she is responsible for developing the Global strategy for communications, including employee, digital marketing, social media, advertising, and some content development. The Communications Manager reports to the VP/GM Vehicle Wash Solutions, who is a member of the OPW senior management team. The position is located in Hamilton, OH or remote and requires minimal travel (up to 15% U. S. ). The position requires communication globally with employees, vendors and working in teams worldwide. What You'll Do: Develop and executes integrated internal and external communication plans to support key announcements across OPW’s three businesses.
Partner with HR to promote projects with comprehensive employee-focused campaigns. Partner with OPW’s marketing agency and subject matter experts across the business to tell the story of how we are defining what’s next in the industries we serve through bylined articles. Oversee editorial calendars, as well as reviews and edits online marketing content, including blogs, white papers, social media and videos for all three markets that OPW serve. Lead internal and external communication planning and messaging for acquisitions, from intent to purchase to close, providing both proactive and reactive messaging.
Write leadership communications to be shared via a variety of channels, such as the company intranet, email, Microsoft Teams, and shop floor monitors. Work with outside agencies to develop and launch recruiting materials, as needed. Responsible for ensuring all releases are reviewed and approved by legal and Dover Communications. Acts as media contact for key business announcements and releases issued over the wire. Create communication collateral for local HR teams to share on the production floor.
Manage updates and upgrades to the OPW intranet (powered by Simpplr), as well as oversee content and employee feedback on site. Work with local HR teams to manage content and provide access to digital information screens. Work with leadership to create and deploy change management communications. Plan and execute quarterly leadership townhalls via Teams. Write quarterly business updates from the president. Produce short leadership videos for Global employees. Partner with Dover Corporate Communications to tailor and share communications on key company-wide initiatives. Work with marketing agency to oversee analytics of current campaigns, marketing budget and spend.
Review potential trademark discrepancies and work to mitigate any risks or concerns. Drive adherence to OPW brand guidelines, both internally and externally Partner with leadership to build and deploy employee engagement campaigns.
