The Director of Marketing will lead U. S. IMBRUVICA and the Multiple Myeloma Portfolio team. The position will be responsible for the strategy and commercial activities to IMBRUVICA and work closely with alliance partner (PCYC/Abbvie). This position will also lead the portfolio that that supports the MM Portfolio Strategy, KOL strategy, 3 rd party program, market development, prof promo for umbrella programs teams across DARZALEX, TECVAYLI, TALVEY. The Director of Marketing will work closely with groups like Global Commercial
Strategy (GCSO), The Director of Marketing must also work closely with multiple functions including Sales, Sales Training, Commercial Excellence, Finance, Medical Affairs, HECOR, R&D, Corporate Communications, and outside agencies and vendors in order to effectively develop and execute key commercial activities.
The position will build and lead a large team of marketing professionals and Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs) (including staff that has direct reports) and the incumbent will be responsible for staffing, training and developing the marketing team members. Responsibilities: IMBRUVICA: Develop an integrated business plan and strategic plan. Develop brand strategies and tactics amidst significant marketplace competition.
Align Marketing, Sales, and broader commercial organization around strategies to differentiate IMBRUVICA and drive market share performance. Establish annual marketing plans for the product and execute promotional tactics with a focus on innovation. Provide performance forecasts and management updates throughout the year. Oversee alliance P&L and maximize value. Multiple Myeloma Marketing (MMM): Lead the team to maximize multiple myeloma brands with evolving portfolio positioning, KOL strategy, maximize 3 rd party programs and speaker content, support large campaigns Lead and manage a team of group product directors, thought leader liaisons, product directors, product managers.
Manage marketing budget to support financial objectives. Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree (B. A. /B. S. ) A minimum of 10 years business experience (e. g. Sales, Marketing, Management, etc) of which 8 years demonstrated marketing experience and proven performance. US in-line marketing experience (professional and/or consumer). Demonstrated experience in critical marketing competencies. Must have a demonstrated track record of strong leadership capabilities with ability to work effectively in a matrix and unstructured environment.
A minimum of 5 years of people management experience. The ideal candidate is innovative, proactive and strongly analytical with excellent overall business acumen. Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects. Ability to operate in two worlds - big picture orientation with attention to detail. Interpersonal flexibility to effectively interact with a broad range of personnel. Ability to build effective teams that work well across functions and groups. Advanced communication and presentation skills required.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters in related field or MBA. Sales leadership experience as a National Sales Director or Regional Business Director is highly preferred. Oncology experience. Previous Pharma Sales or Sales Management experience is preferred. Global Marketing/ Early Commercial Development experience is preferred.
