What's the role? The Intern - External Affairs reports to the Manager of External Affairs, and the primary role includes assisting with coordination and execution of Marketing efforts. This includes other tasks/projects under guidelines and procedures set out by the Manager - External Affairs, within the External Affairs Department.

Duties include : Sponsorship Coordination Identifying branding opportunities and execute sponsorship assets Procure merchandise for fundraisers and events Attend events to ensure execution of assets Support with Marketing and Communications Coordination Internal communications support Social media content (2-3 per month) Photography / Video coordination External branding recruitment communications Administrative support for External Affairs Department What are we looking for?

You'll be a highly self motivated individual who will display behaviour consistent to our Northern Star Values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Respect and Results, looking to work with the business for the long

term and be an integral part in its future growth and development.

The specifics: Progressing towards a Communications, Public Relations or Marketing Degree from a recognized university. Computer Literacy - Microsoft Office, Adobe, Photo Editing Software. Excellent communication skills. Organized and detail oriented. Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices. Must pass a post offer physical and drug test, as well as a background check. The Details: Working a flexible 4-5 days per week schedule of days, up to 10 hours per day, this four-month temporary position will require some evenings and weekends at times, some travel to events or to the Pogo Mine Site but, is primarily based out of our office in Fairbanks.
